Apple Vision Pro Set to Benefit from Robust Gaming Content

Since the launch of Apple Vision Pro, the tech giant has been dedicated to providing users with immersive entertainment experiences through the introduction of spatial games tailored for Arcade and compatible with the latest devices.

Powered by visionOS, Apple Vision Pro delivers distinctive spatial experiences with a brand-new three-dimensional user interface and input system controlled entirely by users’ eyes, hands, and voice commands.

Apple has also rolled out games optimized for Vision Pro, including Game Room, WHAT THE GOLF?, Cut the Rope 3, Jetpack Joyride 2, Patterned, Illustrated, Wylde Flowers, stitch., Synth Riders, LEGO Builder’s Journey, Bloons TD 6+, and Super Fruit Ninja in mid-February. The upcoming game releases are expected to attract new users to Vision Pro.

Despite facing stiff competition in the smartphone market and encountering weak demand in China, which has impacted iPhone sales growth, Apple remains reliant on the iPhone for revenue generation. In the first quarter of fiscal 2024, iPhone sales constituted 58.3% of total sales.

Services have emerged as a significant revenue contributor, driven by the burgeoning popularity of the App Store and the success of services like Apple TV+. In the fiscal first quarter, Services revenues climbed 11.3% year over year to $23.12 billion, comprising 19.3% of total sales.

For the March quarter (second-quarter fiscal 2024), Apple anticipates revenues and iPhone sales to be on par with the year-ago figures, excluding the additional $5 billion generated due to pent-up demand for iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro Max in the preceding year. Double-digit growth in the Services segment is also projected, mirroring the performance of the December-end quarter.
