Blockchain penny stocks are all over the map this morning to close out the work week. Cannabis has taken over as the booming industry this year, but smaller-cap blockchain companies are still fighting to stand out from the rest.
Investors are constantly evaluating these smaller cap companies to see which blockchain penny stock has the potential to take off. Not all blockchain stocks have dropped significantly since the fall of cryptocurrency in early 2018. Seven Stars Cloud Group (NASDAQ:SSC) has only dropped just slightly, year-to-date.

Seven Stars Cloud Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:SSC)
Seven Stars Cloud Group or ‘Ideanomics’ is the leader among the blockchain penny stocks. The blockchain-based fintech company is based out of Beijing, China. The company provides asset owners a platform for digital asset securitization, tokenization, and trading. Seven Stars also offers a closed supply chain trading ecosystem for corporate buyers and sellers.
Yesterday, Ideanomics announced an agreement with Liberty Biopharma (TSXV:LTY). The transaction will deliver asset digitization for green, cleantech, medical, and healthcare industries.
According to Yahoo Finance, SSC is currently trading at $4.80 a share, up $0.09 (1.91%). For the month, SSC is up 135.3% and year-to-date, the stock is down just -1%.

Global Blockchain Technologies Corp. (CSE:BLOC)
Global Blockchain is based in Vancouver, Canada and is a blockchain investment company. A few days ago, this blockchain penny stock announced that it made several key developments since the Laser network crowdsale began.
In the official press release the company highlighted all the progress made, but this doesn’t seem to have made a positive impact on the stock.
According to Yahoo Finance, on the OTC market, Global Blockchain Technologies is trading at $0.125 a share, down -$0.0148 (-10.63%). On the CSE, BLOC is currently trading at $0.165 a share, down -$0.015 (-8.33%). Year-to-date on the US market, Global Blockchain is down -88.9%, and on the CSE, BLOC is down -80%.
