Microsoft (MSFT) Q4 Earnings and Revenues Top Estimates

Microsoft (MSFT) came out with quarterly earnings of $2.17 per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.90 per share. This compares to earnings of $1.46 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.

This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of 14.21%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this software maker would post earnings of $1.76 per share when it actually produced earnings of $1.95, delivering a surprise of 10.80%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates four times.

Microsoft, which belongs to the Zacks Computer – Software industry, posted revenues of $46.15 billion for the quarter ended June 2021, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 4.74%. This compares to year-ago revenues of $38.03 billion. The company has topped consensus revenue estimates four times over the last four quarters.
