Lithium Australia (OTC:LMMFF) will be starting a diamond drilling program on its land in Sadisdorf, Germany.
The program will aim to confirm the presence of the mineral resources suspected to be there and will better determine their parameters. It will also look to reconfirm all historical drilling data. The program is hoping to be able to upgrade some of the resources from Inferred to Indicated and could expand on the mineral resource inventory.
There are two diamond core holes planned for this program, totaling 460 meters. A large-diameter core of 101 mm will provide samples for future metallurgical testwork.
Lithium Australia will be using its SiLeach mineral processing technology for its program, believing it to be the best option for achieving the program’s goals, the main being to recover lithium from the area.
Adrian Griffin, the managing director of Lithium Australia, said that “[t]his is the first drilling at the Sadisdorf project since 1990. The initial holes will not only duplicate historic drill holes but also target mineralised zones outside the current mineral resource estimate. This work will progress our goal of breathing new life into the Sadisdorf project and potentially supplying raw materials to the European battery industry.”
