In fact, it’s the first time that this much-loved lottery game reaches the 66 million-dollar level in its 40-year history. The previous record of $64 million was set on October 17, 2015.
The guaranteed prize winner has a 50/50 chance of walking away with $66 million! The draw machine now only contains 1 white ball worth $1 million and one gold ball worth $66 million.
As is the case at every Lotto 6/49 draw, the $5 million Classic Jackpot will also be up for grabs. Last Wednesday’s Classic Jackpot was won by a Laurentians resident, bringing the total of Classic Jackpots awarded to Quebecers since September 2022 to $27.5 million.
